Having fun vibe coding
Having fun is such an important part of the process as a startup founder. I've learned that by watching other teams closely, studying how they learn, grow, and ultimately give people what they want, that the journey is just as critical as the destination.
It’s easy to hit low lows when users are scarce or revenues are slow to roll in, but when you circle back to your mission, it’s exhilarating to dive back into the work.
One thing I’ve found absolutely addicting recently is vibe coding. Over the past three weeks, I’ve immersed myself in coding education through Udemy, taken a JavaScript course, and I’m a quarter of the way through my Udemy React course. I’m already building features on our application faster than I can learn.
There's literally never been a better time to jump into coding. The resources are abundant and the progress you can make with just a little training is mind-blowing. While you still need learn how to code because debugging isn't fun, we're at a stage now in technology where reading and architecture are the only parts you need to be incredible at coding. Before it probably would've taken a year to be where I am now, or more!
I highly recommend listening to the recent Lightstone podcast on Vibe Coding as they are a much more credible source than I am but as someone who dove into coding only a month ago, I'm already feeling like a pretty good front-end developer and I generally understand what I'm doing. Jump in now, I promise you won't regret it if you're interested!
